Nothing to do with the Labour Party, but I am trying to find out about an airbrush artist named Trotsky. Seems to be nothing on the internet, but apparently reasonably well known 20years ago. The quick snaps don't really do the work justice, as there are metal flakes in the paint in the pupils, and the eyes appear to stare right back when you look at them.

Ah ha, I see my posts have a reputation. Well at least you didn't ignore me. Only posted to genuinely find out anything about the guy, but he clearly was not anybody with a reputation. I bought the bike with the intention of respraying in matt black, but when I saw the tank, i changed my plans. Not me at all, but too good to cover up, and as it is a (relatively) cheap bike to enjoy, i am just going to ride it as it is.

A pity you didn't step forward a few weeks ago...I had a full set of tins for that bike in a lovely colour..... would have done a straight swap.....:D

Hi Sister, we all know the sportster is the girl's Harley, so we can be girls together now, flower.

Were it mine I would leave Trotsky but ditch the bars and grips. But of course it isn't mine.

I like the whole thing.. I'd leave it as is!! Good find!

The Stranglers always wanted to know whatever happen to Trotsky.. Perhaps one of them also had a bike with a shite paint job..

:D

A kind gentleman by the name of Mark Read just pm'd me. Apparently Trotsky used to advertise in BSH back in the 80's, and worked out of a mill in Halifax. Anybody know any more? Some of you must have seen his stuff in Back Street Heroes? .........and a little bit off subject, why were bike mags better in the 70's, than the bland publications we get now?
