It's not obvious from your pics but I suspect it's the switched feed for the GPS unit. If it is and you remove the cover, it should look like this....

...which is the connector on the power cable of BMW Navigator GPS. You can, however buy that cable with its connector, as a repair part from your Motorrad dealer and that will enable you to fit the connector onto an aftermarket GPS and power it from that supply on the bike.
That's all assuming that I've identified the connector on your bike correctly....

I agree, the gps connector is further along and mounted on a plastic clip. I dont remember seeing the plug in the pictures on my bike

It is the place they hook up the computer to check for faults and service times.
