Anyone buy a F800 Adventure?

i am looking to book a test ride. Silly question but what would i need to bring with me? Just my license?

Most dealers just need are parts of your licence. If you have an old paper one take a passport as well. Check with the place you are test riding with to be sure!

I am booked out to test one on Saturday coming. Can't wait. Just too see if it would warrant the extra cash over a standard one

Just had a quick spin on one today, not a proper ride. I really like them, certianly feels different compared to a standard 800.

Must try and get out on one for a long run!

What u think of the screen or seat height/comfort. Maybe u hadn't it really long enough too comment

I'm going to buy one on Tuesday. Hence joining this forum :beerjug:

I'm hoping for delivery on Friday. I'll let you know how I get on!

Woo hoo! What colour? I like the red:beerjug:

I like the look of it with it's wide arse and bigger screen!:thumb

Kinda reminded me of Dawn French in an Afrika Korps uniform wearing a pair of Deirdre Barlow 1980's specs!:drool

Enjoy!:D

Mine's going to be 'sand rover' or somthing similar sounding! I like the red too but it looks like a long wait for a red one. TBH, I'm not really bothered which as it only makes up a little bit of the bike overall!

It's my first proper bike and having test ridden a 'normal' 800GS, I convinced myself that I'd like it even more with all the new spec stuff - particularly the taller screen, hand guards, LED spotlights, engine and rear bars and ESC. I know I could spec a base model up to that level but it didn't seem to make a great deal of difference pricewise.

Can't wait, so don't anyone try and talk me out of it!!! :augie

I'm spending this evening trawling the web for a decent insurance quote, so any pointers would be gratefully recieved! I'm 40+ years with a new A licence and years of trouble free driving, if that makes any difference...

Can't beat Carole Nash :thumb. A bit more expensive but huge cover, also you can negotiate the price - I do and we've always got a reasonable reduction. Good luck with the bike, it looks lovely but very, very tall!
