Anyone else ordered an LC Adventure?

It did not have ESA , but I did wind the preload to max and adjusted Damping. I'm not complaining about the handling it was good enough to get over far enough to scrape, which as I said was a surprise. I think the ten days spent on the GSA was what prompted me to go for the GS, although I have considered one many times before.

Weight wise I'd say we were close to 165 Kgs as rider and pillion, I'm 98 kgs and 6 ft so I'm not sure if that resides in the bigger than you camp or not. We did have a good 25kgs of luggage and 20kg of riding gear so getting up towards max load.

Well I'm 112kg( just stopped smoking in Jan! ) and my good lady is a trim 60 KG , I think we had a similar luggage weight to you.
Oddly the front preload seems to affect the touch down point more than the rear preload, not sure why. I can only assume your GSA was a bit tired, obviously they are higher than a std GS and I don't think there is a problem regarding ground clearance generally?
My GSA is on road tyres and I "make progress" on it! try another before you make your decision?

GSA

Tired it may have been as it was a hire bike and they usually get high miles and poor treatment. But as stated I'm interested in the new GSA but at present it doesn't seem to have enough to make me change. Seeing it in the flesh and reading a few reports will decide it I'm sure.

How come you Pommies get your BMw's so Cheap ?

Wish we could get the bikes for the UK prices . Better still the US prices would be good. No taxes on Motorbikes in Australia except GST which is 10%. We get the most expensive deal from the importer, which is BMW .

Come over here and buy one, then ride it home!:D

The dealer here told me 31k for the adventure in australia and expect them in January 2014. Also, the GSA is expected to be launched at intermot 1st October

Buy a bike for US west coast holiday then ship the bike home. It will be your own property so who knows how the import tax will work out.

With the current bike there is space for a tall narrow exhaust can and a full width case. Sadly nobody thought of that before they got TT to make the luggage. I hope they sort it out on the new WC Adventure.

It won't be launched at Intermot, mainly because the next Intermot is in October 2014 (it only takes place every two years).

Who told you that Ding Dong?

My dealer (Chandlers Brighton) also said that it would be at the NEC, they said that they had been given that info at the dealer conference.

Cheers

Vines are taking a group of customers by coach to the NEC, specifically to see the new GSA.:clap
