Anyone fancy a quicky to morocco in april

I would have loved to come on this but the wife will drop number 2 last week March/1st week in April...

I mentioned it but

Hope you have a great time and someone decides to do something similar next year.

Saturday 8th April, 9.30 am on euro tunnel.

I'm Returning on 17th monday ( easter monday) April. or you can come back on the sunday 16th, your choice when you book, depends on your journey back to home in UK . If you get my drift.

Straight through France and Spain 2- 2 half days .

Ferry across to Morocco , dash about a bit taking in the scenery, food and whatever we can get up to  . We won't be going in any sand ( no time), but can do some good mountain passes so tourance type tyres will be fine.

Marrakesh is the destination, on a circular route taking in roman ruins, mountain passes and other tourist type tat :D Hotels all the way, no camping

But you will enjoy yourselves, that's an order .

Just PM if your going or have any questions, the more the merrier.

It cost me £800 for an 18 day trip last month, with all sea crossings , and that wasn't budgetting, i.e. 3-4 star hotels in morocco £20-£40 a night i just spent what ever needed to be spent.

Just been on the eurotunnel site checking train times what train are you coming back on some seem booked up all ready :

Forry, I've booked a room at the Premier Lodge today as I'l be coming down Friday night as well :thumb

This sounds too much like a plan Steptoe :D

Are the hotel stops already booked in advance? Are there daily route maps and a support Land Rover? What about gettting through customs into Morocco, I heard from some scottish outfit that it is bloody difficult? We won't get stranded at the port will we?

The trip to Maroc sounds great just wish i could get the time off work but since i'm asking for 6 weeks off over summer to tour Italy, Malta, Greece and Croatia i think it would be a bit necky to ask for time off in Apr. Just for future Ref I believe there is a ferry to Egypt and Isreal from Cyprus and Cyprus can be reached Via Rhodes from Pireus in Greece.

Its not difficult. It is extremely slow, or extremely expensive. No chance of getting stranded at the port as long as you hide your money in the bottom of your boots. Once they have all your (obvious) cash you get through ok.

Steptoe - is anything being booked in advance (except ferry/tunnel) or can I tag along at the last minute ?

Just realised why the scottish mob had so much difficulty - getting through without handing over any cash might be a tad difficult :)
