Anyone fitted Keihan headers to R1200GSA

Ding-Dong:
I noticed your LED brackets, are they custom made or are they serial production from one of the manufacturer?

I copied these from a seller on eBay, mine are more profiled, ie the don't stick out as far (like wings) and look much neater.

The led spots are 10w cree's £10 new off eBay as well.

Hhmm, yeah, I still don't really understand to be honest. From what I've read the only way that would work is if you have wideband O2 sensors, which the GS doesn't. Instead the O2 sensors are used at low rpm, then at more power it runs to the prescribed mapping.

Maybe as you say the hilltop map just gives a bit more overhead so it won't run dangerously lean, but it's still no longer running an optimum map

Its possible the baffles don't really cause enough restriction to matter until the revs (and gas flows) rise. In that case a plugged up baffle could be fine in the rev range covered by the O2 sensors. At higher revs/throttle opening when the map has to adapt to back pressure the O2 sensor is no longer in the loop.

Thinking of doing the de-cat and tune thing over the summer, Mike can you PM me with the offer on the Keihans. Anyone familiar with Harley-Davidsons will know about the V&H FP3 tuner that connects to your smartphone and can tune your bike via the phone, is there a tuner like this for the GS?
