Now I have most the bits sorted on the GS, I fancy a rideout or two in the next couple of months, wondered if any one else is from the area fancy a ride some time?

Sounds good

I live in stroud, dont get out enough so give me shout if you fancy a spin, 07738 958878.

It might not be your thing but you could consider joining http://northwiltsroadar.co.uk/ we have regular rideouts and social meets at different locations. Most of us haven't got slippers, I have a beard though.

Doesn't resolve your immediate problem but may interest you.

Ian I will drop you aline or two when I want a ride :)

As for the North Wilts, I'm signing up from Feb so I can undergo my Advanced riding. Been wanting to do it for a while but fund have not allowed me. I'd fancied doing the blood bikes too which I need to be advanced trained.

I ride almost everyday for work but don't get out much these days for fun, most of my friends have grown up and bough cars for the family, My wife has the car and I have the bike, suits me, just a bummer in the freezing fog, snow, rain etc :)

Hi, I am just out side Wootton Bassett. I get out more in the winter months due to work but hoping that I can get out more during the Spring.

There's a number of us with North Wilts RoADaR that are blood bike volunteers:D

I'm in Swindon, SN25, Haydon Wick area. However, do mostly long distance rides to fire tracks etc in Spain or Portugal for off-road work. Otherwise, its mostly road riding . Always up for a meet and chat anytime as I'm self employed.

self employed, not a plasterer by any chance lol.

When my kids have grown up a little more I might be allow to head off into the sunset on the bike but in the mean time, IOM and france is as far as I have managed to go.

That's been the same problem for me....single dad with four kids. Luckily I've got rid of three and hopefully the last one off to uni come October :D
I'm hoping to spread my wings in the next few years as long as finances allow (will have 2 at Uni for the next couple of years)

We're both on WB by the way but I have a different name over there :D

nope...a sparkie. Logo on my pimped brabus van is Raisins - Your Current Specialist.....get it? :D

Right idea though ! Soon as possible , get riding !! ps...re NW. Ever considered doing the Brecon training for BM's? They inspire tons of confidence in what these bikes can do !! Highly recommended !! Simon Pavey and the team are top blokes and very highly skilled.

I've been very lucky over the past 6 years to ride with World of BM, S. Pavey, Chris Evans , Desert Rat ( also another Simon ) and with Julian from Bristol with Moto Cadia etc. Many mock a heavy trailie, but in the right hands, its amazing what these bikes are capable of doing !
