Do you know the BMW part number? I've been asking my dealer to chase one of these down for a while and he keeps telling me that he can't find a part number to request it!
Both he and I have photo's of it, but no id ...
Be nice to fit one before taking the other half aroud Spain in May/June.

Got one fitted, sorry no photo's, it's 2 piece doesn't effect the expanding and my son loves it

Are you talking about the backrest for the 1200GS vario system? Only asking as you mention the expanding.

Snap, mine turned up earlier this week by post ... but looking at it, I'm glad I'm riding not pillioning ;-)
Have yet to fit it as the bike is wrapped up against the 6 inches of snow here.
Then again, now I know why BMW is profitable, given the cost of two pieces of expanded foam ... the printed booklet probably cost more than the component!
