It needs a bit of work to make it look presentable, but thats part of the fun of owning a old bike

I THINK that was originally on ebay at over £7K but didn't sell. It has definitely been listed twice at this price.
Right or wrong, people seem to prefer them in Daytona Orange.

To be honest considering thats a £7k bike thats supposedly been sympathetically restored it's a bit manky on the close up photos and the seat looks awful. The standard 90s seat looks just right for the bike where this one looks crap. probably why it hasn't sold.
Thank's for the replys. I did see the ebay bike but the price is a bit steep for what it is and I would prefer the orange version. I am not in a hurry and there is no need to buy the first bike that comes along. I would prefer a low owner, original unrestored bike

As a tribute to both these anniversaries, BMW Motorrad presented the BMW Concept Ninety at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2013 in Italy. In partnership with the custom bike company Roland Sands Design, the BMW Motorrad design team has come up with an exclusive homage to the 1973 BMW R 90 S.

It's a concept, let's hope it remains just that
I am looking forward to seeing the Ninety though, hopefully it will be just a simple old fashioned tubed frame, non WC engine, ordinary forks, good brakes and not too much in the way of fancy electronics.

The problem I have with the concept bike is it's all style over substance while the original R90S was more substance over style. The concept bike strikes me as a toy for posing and not much else while the original R90S was a serious bit of kit that can still cut it even today. I suppose BMW are after a new younger market with the concept: I really am getting old
Which begs the question, was the original R90S exactly that to the old men of the 70's?
