GS deal went tits up when they would not deliver the bike before the 1st of March and register it on the 1st although I was willing to sign the paperwork saying I would not use it before the 1st
I paid for the bike with the understanding that they would do that, only to get a call a couple of days later saying that it was too much of a liability to do !! When I said to cancel the order the tune changed by the head of sales, which really gave me the arse so I asked for my money back which after a lot of ballsing about I got, phoned my local dealer who offered me the same deal on a GS who could deliver it without registering it no issue, which I declined and bought a 25 plate S1000XR TE with 700 miles on it Akrapovic exhaust, SP racing engine guards 1st service done last thursday, for almost 9K cheaper than the GS I ordered !! I collected it the next day, when I want a new bike I want it now not when they want me to have it.
not sure how long ill have the XR albeit it is so much nicer than the 2016 one I had before and its what the CB1000GT that I ordered back in October aspires to be so we will see !!
