Hi,

does anyone know this bike or have any expert knowledge on whether or not an 80yr old should be trying to re live his yoof.

My dad was looking at it to buy, I dont know enough about them really to make an informed judgement on them so I thought I would ask some of the experts on herebut he seems really keen to buy one and this has been fully restored.

God knows why as he can hardly walk never mind ride, but I can always ride it for him :thumb2

thanks

Chris

I can see why an 80yo would want to own this..
I'm not yet 55 & have a few lying around that I hardly ride, but they look better as time goes on..

No disrespect meant to your father, but there has a got to be a million better ways for an 80yo to spend almost £9k....

Maybe junior has out him up to it ? :D

Seriously , if he wants to ride a bike at 80 again bloody good look to him, I think its great !

He maybe bad on his pins farmboy, but you may be surprised more than anyone if the years blow off him during a ride out with you .,

See if you can get hold of a 125 or something as way of a tester ?

Good on the old man, if he feels up to it at 80 fair play to him, if it was my dad (died age 76 about 10 years ago) I would encourage it, you only live once........

Dont know the bike personally, but was watching it on ebay (still have it in my watch list) it was originally bid up to £7k but didnt make the reserve, was put back on at £8750 and hung around till the listing expired on 10th April. Hasnt been relisted since. If it is still for sale he may take an offer......

How very dare you suggesting I have put him up to it :green gri

I tried my best last week to talk him in to a Norton international 500 but that fell literally on deaf ears :rob

Thanks for the info Solid always good to know

I just dont enough about them to know if its good value too much, not an original G/S etc...

Just watch the phone bill if you ring the number to chat about it....It cost me £18 talking about an old car a while back....car and classic use premium rates ;)
