I was perusing the bikes for sale on eBay at the weekend and happened upon a nearly new V85 Strada. Before I knew it I was on the phone and bought it, collected it today. I don’t know how it happened but it did. It’s just the sort of thing I do. I like buying bikes, I’m impulsive. I bought a new Fantic Caballero 700 in November and sold it earlier this year with 600 miles on the clock. I’m not the only one on here that does these things.
Anyway I bought this X-ADV new in May, from Blade Honda, Stratford. it’s on a 26 plate, and now has 850 miles on it.
It’s just had its first service at Blade.
Obviously it’s as brand new. 6 years warranty on Honda’s now if you have them main dealer serviced.
So, what’s it got.
High quality graphics kit, making it look like the special edition.
Honda comfort seat, (with original)
Stand up footrests
Side stand extender foot
Alloy luggage rack (original hand rails included)
Givi alloy rack plate
Givi 42l Monokey box, the one with the upgraded security locks, both keys included
Genuine Honda Handguards
Factory fitted heated grips
Genuine Honda wind deflectors
USB A and C PowerPoint on the handlebar
Excellent non genuine Honda copy bag, not sure what you’d call it, not a tank bag, between the legs bag?
Remote alarm with fob.
Two new screen protectors, unfitted.
I bought the three service plan, the first one is done, the next two will be included, no.3 includes brake fluid. This means no servicing costs until
May 2029. The plan travels with the bike if sold.
Total cost for this lot would be almost £2000
I would accept £10900 for the bike with everything. If you want it cheaper we can look at removing stuff and or cancelling the service plan.
Obviously has full book pack, both keys etc.
Paid for outright so no finance.
Any mucky bits on the pictures will wash off, I did a couple of hundred miles on it last week and haven’t washed it since.
A new special edition would cost £12700, there are no discounts on these, they have spots and crash bars over the spec of mine, but don’t have some the farkles mine has.
I’m just off J23 M1 Leics.

Cheers Rob, I’m another serial changer I’m afraid, just have accept it and get on with it!
The little USB point makes for a very neat install, with a quadlock or Peak Design bracket.
Would work just as well with a sat nav.IMG_1198.jpeg

Not an awful lot of paperwork as it’s effectively new, but this is it.
I always fit an 8x6 number plate to replace the standard 9x7, it’s only a bit smaller and looks totally legal,
but just looks better in my opinion.
Oh and there is only one screen protector not two.
That’s it. It’s up to you guys now if anyone wants it. Don’t hang about. If it’s not gone at the weekend then
I’ll have to face the EBay massif.IMG_1199.jpeg

Having sustained a post injury weaker left hand I’ve been looking at options for bikes with light clutches or none at all (DCT) …or a mixture of both like the new Transalp e-clutch. I don’t particularly need a big adventure bike now so the Africa Twin DCT is out. This has thrown a bit of a curve ball. Seems to be lots of positive reviews of these. A bit too new & expensive for my needs and budget but looks a great buy for someone.

Not had any interest so I’ve stuck it on eBay now. If any of you lovely people want it, I’ll knock £200 off if it helps.
