My Sept 2015 car came with 2014-B mapping.

Is there anything more up-to-date?

Is this the car being advertised on Tv with a 140+mpg ?

If so, does it actually achieve anything like it?

Of course it doesn't!

In the real world I get about 35-40 mpg! Yet this car is, apparently, so clean the VED is £0; the BIK is next to nothing and it is exempt Congestion Charge.

It's not just VW who are working the numbers you know!

I didn't expect 140+, but 35-40 is just downright wrong !

I need to swap car and I've 'enjoyed' my diesel (apologies to the asthmatics and tofu sculpting soap Dodgers) and I'm tempted to buy it again but living in London I'm expecting a playful initiative like banning my car or con charge of £25 a day, etc.

Maybe I will just run mine into the ground, seems like the most environmental sound idea.

To be fair, if you only ever did journeys of 25 miles or shorter (battery range) and could recharge after every journey, 100+mpg might be achievable but as I now live in darkest Kent but work in London, I'm mostly running the car on petrol.

Still, Petrol is cheaper this time of year, my average daily commute is 6.4 miles, so , can't remember last time i put
petrol in the car.
Loving the heated car(remote app) in the mornings and evenings and heated steering wheel :augie
