Dave don't worry about the naysayers...your bike looks great...I rather have my helmet in a top-box than carrying it around with me !
The Akra E-3 obviously fits,looks and probably sounds much better than the new Akra E-4 fishtail.

I said his bike looked great and I agree about putting the helmet in a topbox but at least get one that looks like it Leon's on the bike and adds to its looks. £18,000 on a bike and 50p spent on the topbox

I think it looks fantastic and would have one exactly the same, minus the 50p topbox of course
but am waiting for the GSA first.
It’s the only GS I’ve liked the look of in last decade.

It`s growing on me (not the topbox) and everyone who has seen mine `in the flesh` seem to think it`s one of the best yet. IMHO I like the matt red GSA..........

I had a test ride yesterday whilst my bike was in for service. I spent an hour on a-roads and a short motorway section around Manchester.
Initial impressions compared to my 2017 Rally:
Engine is a bit smoother and has more grunt, not huge but noticeable.
Quick shifter is smoother, up and down.
Engine note at tick-over is different, with slight ticking/tappet type sound.
TFT is very nice.
The most practical improvement is the revised routing of the exhaust headers making them less vulnerable to damage, especially off road.
In summary, great bike, but not enough of a difference to make me want to upgrade.
I’m also not a fan of the new colours. I think the Rallye is better looking.
Next test ride will be a KTM 790 Adventure R.

Likewise. It is very unlike BMW to have launched and shipped new 1250 GS in a such short period of time. So if they launch GSA at EICMA and start shipping in December that would be a massive change for BMW from the way they have operated in the past.
