Anyone test-ridden the new 1250 GS yet ?

Is it the photo, or does the Nav sit to the right of the TFT?

My Nav 5 sits slightly to the left. But you can loosen the mounting bolts and move it where you want.

They (BMW) do that so that the actual empty mount is centred. If you always have your gps fitted then, as said, loosen the screws and get your tape measure out.

And spirit level :D

Nutty , got rid of the hangers as suggested , fitted Puig infils to stop the shite and pondering on spraying the silver bit black along with the Rads covers , unsure if a bit too much black tho. Before / after
all still work in progress.

Very nice that....
contemplated if I should go with one myself, but I think there really isn’t that much difference between my MY2017 GSA and new 1250 Exclusive to justify changing at the cost of £5k apart from newish motor and 3 year warranty.

To be honest I had wondered the same as I traded my 2016 in against it ( I did not even test ride it), and its great , so much better than the old bike . Gets better the more you ride it.
Recently went out for a ride with my mate who owns an lc as well 13 plate but with a new engine fitted a 2015 plant , I rode his for the first few hours after not riding mine for a week and it felt like old slippers , comfortable sure footed and lovely. Then we swapped back and I really could feel how much better the new bike is also ( as I have said before) pissed my mate off again as he said its cruel to keep letting him ride it , so I had to pay for lunch.
Its not a slur on the older bike as its was and still is a great bike but the new version is better, full stop.

Agree with all of the above. I rode new 1250 couple of weeks ago and did like it. But I feel there just isn’t enough in it for me to commit just yet. Tomorrow we possibly will see new GSA and rest of boxer range for 2019 announced at EICMA. That might give some ideas as to what is on offer in 2019. Meanwhile I am tempted to switch to Orange side for a year or two. Then see if BMW will release an all new GS range in 2020/2021.

Fair enough , I hope your flirt with the orange side works , you'll be back :thumby::thumby::beerjug:

Bike looks great, Stick. Please don’t confuse Ev by telling him to get a GS; I’ve only just convinced him to try a KTM!:D

I wont , im sure he will make the rite decision , even if he does go to the dark side , he will be happy either way as the 1290 is a great bike as well :barf:bounce1:bounce1:thumby::thumby: only joking

Sweet ****. I’ve just seen the new billet customisations you can order (it’s probably been done to death here and I missed it).
Shit I think I really like them. Particularly the HP ones - this is going to cost me a fortune!
Is this turning into the new Harley with all the shiney shiney add ons?

It’s been like that for a long time. I spent over £1k on HP stuff for my Rallye, and it looked like a tarts handbag. Was worth every penny.:D
