I've got a portable DAB and never thought to use it on the bike but will be trying in the next hour or so, let you know later today,

I've got a DAB, the sound quality is excellent, but its mostly down to the signal strength of the area you are in or passing through. It 'burbles' when the signal is poor. For example, the quality is excellent at my house, but two miles down the road near Boxhill its almost non-existent.

You may want to consider a combination DAB with FM RDS tuner like the Roberts Sports one (about £100 though).

Cheers,

Mike

In Wales a bloody waste of time, go out into the countryside and ride and not a bloody thing, If youy want to ride around Cardiff or Newport it's O.K.

Try t'internet radio Phil, BBC website probably has it for streaming content (?).
Plug in some good PC speakers and you are away. :thumb

No problems at home - just can't do it on the bike :) :thumb.

just missing some warm weather at the Mo' :(

Is it possible to record it 'podcast ' style, then listen to it at your leisure on the bike with an mp3 player ? Maybe slightly 'out of date' compared to live radio broadcasts, but current enough perhaps if within 24 hours old ?
