Anyone tried CLAYMORE Clothing ?

Have been looking around for a Belstaff Mojave style jacket and found the brand CLAYMORE, this company seems to produce BELSTAFFalike wax and leather jackets at about half the price. So has anyone tried them,if so are they any good ?

Claymore Jackets

I can vouch for Claymore. They make a great quality product. I don''t work for them but Carl who owns it gave me a jacket in return for a promo film;

I'm a wax jacket nut (weird I know) and I also own a Belstaff Trialmaster and a Barbour International.


That said I recently bought this Frank Thomas 'Pitman' wax jacket and have to say I've been pretty impressed - zip out lining, armoured and great quality wax cotton. It comes in Black or Green. £160 from J&S

But, if you want to spec up the jacket yourself and adjust sizes etc Claymore are a goof choice.

I like that style of jacket as well, but I've always wondered how good waxed cotton is at keeping water out (compared to Goretex) and how abrasion resistant it is (compared to Cordura).

I have just got mine. It's a Roadmeister in black and I m absolutely delighted with it. It fits perfectly and is well worth the 7 week wait between order and delivery. I had a Barbour international and this jacket is superior in every way. I had a couple of extra custom bits added and it came to £295 with the armour. I can't recommend Claymore highly enough and no I'm not in any way involved with the company just a very happy customer.

I just got measured up for one about a month ago, went to the place of business and saw the quality of one that was already made so i ordered mine on the spot, great pirce as well, cant wait for it to arrive, forget bellstaff or barbour
