How cheap is cheap ? .............FF50's or their replacements aren't that expensive.......and last quite well. The light bar and other bits you'll need are going to be the greater cost of the kit (or perhaps you have these bits

By my reckoning thats HUGE. There def for a car, would look a bit OTT on a GS. Thats about 5 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches tall.

I've seen one mounted to the lower mudguard on an 1100.. between the forks. looks alright.

Vireo - €41.99 in Halfords including a fitting kit with relay, switch, wire etc (might use the relay). The cheapest FF50's I could find were €60 delivered from Germany and would take a week or two. Already have the light bar etc.
Curiosity got the better of me so I nipped out to Liffey Valley and got a set.

Jeeez, will the shed door be wide enough to get all that through? You'll be needing a few extra pairs of mirrors and a parka to complete the look....

nah... I got the Vespa bug out of me years ago. Replacing clutch cables on those things would break your heart.
I got the shed door made especially big - 4ft, but I am worried for when I get around to fitting the panniers.....

I had space on the light bar and for the pricely sum of €42 I could double my spot light output, so why not? Might help and wake up those dozy idiots that sit in the fast lane......
Hopefully the 1100 alternator can handle 380w of light!!!!!!!!

As above,if it ain't round,it ain't worth a shite(despite what it has stamped on it) Halfords do some 5-6inch round ones for about £20 and smashe just as well as the expensive ones.
Also,take thoses stupid advertising hordings off the PIAAs because they mask about 30% of the light they're producing

Why not just fit HID's? show up better than all that lot and uase much less power.

Have HID low beam but not interested in a HID high beam.
Had one on my old 1150 and although it's very bright once lit up, it's the time it takes to light up that bothered me. So wouldn't do a HID high beam again.
Yeah, I'll take the covers off the top lamps. Just have them on while fitting everything up incase I dropped them.

Aye - if the PIAA's break, it will be Halfords replacing them.
saw few lads on transalps over on the xrv forum fit the micro ring light, the small oval blue one. they look the part when mounted under the nose

More than a few on this site too matey.. including me. Chap on this forum supplies them together with a lightbar.. loom and switch as a cheap alternative to the more usual and rather expensive alternatives. (£89 all-in)
And very effective they are too. (both on and off)
