I have a pair of the old in-ear 3C series that were out before the current SE range came out & apart from transforming my riding experience by listening to decent music while on the move I found the sound quality is just excellent. Someone on the VFR forum (anyone know Wiz?) pointed me towards Shure.

Anyhow, I'm now thinking of upping the ante and going for the SE530's with the PTH/push to hear and giving SWMBO the 3Cs. You can pick these up now for about £230 and before I hit the button I just wondered if anyone has any experience of them, particularly their physical size and whether they will stay in place while I pull my lid on. The 3C's just about get away with it and I'm hoping the 530's aren't any bigger.

Anyone use them while riding and can share whether they think they are indeed the mutts nutts? I'll be using them with a Schuberth C2 or Shoei XR1000 helmet. I've got high hopes and only concern is that I might not get the full benefit if I only use them when riding ..... are they overkill when I already have a good pair of 3C's?

Cheers.

I've got a set

They do fit under the helmet but are a bit bulky.

Sound is excellent though!
