Anyone used Octane Booster fuel additive?

I would prefer a Hilltop choon, but live about 250 miles away so for me it would also be an overnight stay plus (many) motorway miles. I have recently bought a used Power Commander V that was on a bike with a very similar set up to mine so Ive just put it on to see how it goes. The difference is indeed remarkable, so if Hilltop is too far away try a Power Commander and local rolling road choon.

Please no comments that I'm dissing Hilltop. Its just that PC is a alternative that might even be as good.

A good local bike dealer (not BMW) do a deal where you can drop your GS into them, they remove the ecu and send it to Hilltop replacing it when it returns. They obviously charge labour but the last group of bikes they did we're done in around 4 working days. It helps that the owner of the dealership has a GS :thumb2

It's something I'm considering because, like you betty swallocksit's about £150 return on ferry plus accommodation to get to the mainland. I appreciate it's better to deliver the whole bike to Hilltop but this is the next best thing and much better value for money.

A remap can't easily be altered without another trip to the specialist rolling road (in this case Hilltop). I had avoided having mine remapped because I wanted to get the exhaust system and air filter sorted before having it done. Power Commander tuning is a much more common option so you can get it set up locally and have it done again if you change anything.
