I'm having trouble getting my SuperPro Avi to work. Everything seems connected correctly but I'm having no success.

I'm starting to wonder if the Kenwood radios I'm trying to use are playing up.

Anyone with a system fitted in the Aberdeen area able to help out? If I can connect with another system using other radios then at least I know my end is ok.

Cheers

Sorry, id easily help you but no longer have autocom and am too busy at the mo instructing to have any free time to myself.

Hope you get it sorted - Im sure 'Andy T' has autocom and if he's onshore could possibly help.

I got a brand new GSA supplied by Motorrad Central in Dalkeith (01316542777) and they fitted an autocom and it played up.

They found that the Garmin Zumo was causing the main problem. A new Zumo fitted and things seems to be working fine.

Call Bruce or Mike at Motorrad and they may be able to help out.

I don't have an autocom fitted as yet but I do have an autocom kit I want to fit when I have time:( If you are using it with a Zumo I have heard the volume from the Zumo is very low. I am hoping to go up to a friend near Turriff to fit mine as he has one fitted to his GSA and I can set up the radios with his so when we are in Poland in Spet we can point out the pot holes better:augie

By the way my radio is a Kenwood so hopefully its not that:rolleyes:

Sorry i'm not of any use.

regards

No, not using it with a Zumo.

I'm going away at the end of the month and my mate was going to get a system fitted (he has starcom at the moment) but won't bother if mine is not working. All seems ok so i'm beginning to doubt his radios. I just need another Autocom user to check things with.

My friend got a recent Autocom and has had a few problems with it with his Zumo 550. He had a Starcom and it worked fine and I think he regrets moving to the Autocom. The leads on the Autocom were more sturdy looking and I think that was one of his main reasons for swapping to it. Maybe your mate should just hang on to the Starcom. Sorry I can't help as I have a Starcom.

Have you tried posting in the communications forum in Technical ? Though I suppose your are really just trying to tie up with somebody that has an Autocom so that you can work out what's working and what's not.

I have autocom fitted and hopefully a Zumo 660 by the end of next week.I also have a motorola TLK T5 and lead if you want to try.
I am in Newburgh if it is of any help.

Yes, that would be great. Just let me know what suits you - either one evening or the weekend and I can come over or meet you somewhere. :thumb
