anything better

Hein Gerricke 'Cruise' jacket, just bought one (nearly bought a twat item), so far no rain to test it out, but very good in the warm... well vented and waterproof without the thermal lining. (it says here..).

than a TWAT Jacket ?

A TWAT hat?

Even my Rukka SRO suit is starting to fail now - gone back to Goretex/Rukka for the third time for inspection and repair. A 5 year warranty is good, but it does run out eventually.

Im hanging on to have a look at the new HG Master V jacket - not seen anything but it sounds ok.

Plus the sales girl in HG Farnborough is flippin gorgeous!:bounce1

Depends what you want it for but in my opinion for riding when its not too cold then the Twat suit i probably about the best thing on the market even though its quite pricey. Other suits do a similar job as well but they're probably no better in function just in value for money. Have a look at Rev'it.

I'm just getting a Rev'it kit - Dakar Trousers http://www.rev-it.co.uk/cat226_1.htm and Off-Track Jacket http://www.rev-it.co.uk/item3573.htm

I have the trousers and they seem very good, they come with both a waterproof liner and a separate thermal liner, the retail is £160 - but discounts are available.

I'm waiting for a "very fat ba**ard" Off-Track jacket to arrive (they only stock up to "fat ba**ard" sizes) but as well as front air vents the side panels can be removed to make things cooler. It too has both a waterproof liner and a separate thermal liner, the retail is £220 - and again discounts are available.

I'm getting them especially for South Africa and it helps that a new Honda main Dealer has opened about 200m from my office and they are Rev'it dealers and hold good stock - turns out I even know the Rev'it rep, can anyone remember Wayne from a Men & Motors bike program a few years ago?

I use a HG Cruise jacket combined with Revit Dakar trousers and the combination seems to work well. Both bits of clothing have ventilation zips which help in warmer weather. I have used the Cruise jacket (minus thermal linning) quite a bit over the last few months and find it good even in warm conditions and even when on foot around town. Been in many a downpour in it and its remained totally waterproof, even after hours and hours of rain.

Havn't used the Dakar trousers in torrential rain but they have done fine in a wet conditions. I use them if the weather outlook is wet and I find them comfortable and not too bad walking around town, though they did get a bit sticky after quite a distance. Mind you any weatherproof walking gear would probably not have been much better. They have handy combat style leg pockets which are waterproof. If the weather out look is good then I use my trusty BMW Summer trousers which I think are great.

I never seem to use the thermal linnings that come with many jackets/trousers. I prefer wearing thinner layers of technical breathable or thermal clothing underneath. Personally I wish they were optional extras.

Aerostich? They do a highly recommended two-piece suit. (Darian? sp?) Linky. See a fair few of them up in London as well.... not that that means anything of course...
