Anyway to sharpen up my brakes?

Interesting read. Thanks folks.

Riding my GS last night and had a thought as I'd altered the span adjustment on my brake lever and felt it made a difference to the amount of 'feel', so it could be worth playing with that and see if it helps. It's obviously still not going to eliminate the grab associated with the servo though.

had a much better day today. it's a bit of a missile. Love the bike. The brakes make a lot of sense to me tbh. they need to be used in anger though. So to speak... They work:augie Me engage abs willingly? Me?:D

It takes a little back and front and a little feathering , snerking and control. Must get some new rear pads and do a service.

I'd just like to mention that I have an 04 GSA, it has 30,000 miles and the brakes have always been very smooth in application.

As I'm still on the original pads, I'm obviously not using them enough.

Is there a separate lever that operates the back brake?

now you're just being silly :D

Yeah. it's got a lot of forward momentum with a full tank though?

Hiya Ogmios, snerking ... it's a bit like feathering but you lift the little finger off:augie

Solid front brakes like this...

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/mEooXYL5g7k&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/mEooXYL5g7k&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

ffs. that's just daft. Once maybe.
