Traded in my old 1200GS for a new 2010 model with ESA (old stock bike) but I'm putting my old Hyperpro shocks on the new bike. Then I find out I'm now missing the hydrolic preload adjuster knob that stayed behind on my old bike. And then I find out you can't buy this knob from BMW without the complete rear shock :eek:. Would anyone here know where I might find a leaky Showa rear shock with said knob attached? Any tips much appreciated!! (No luck in Holland so far).

Can you get it backfrom the old bike-presuming thaf it's not performing any useful function on it

Thanks guys!

@Bobbin-Man Looked up Motorworks. They do have rear shocks at about 200 £ :eek
@Devil No luck googling Revs, would you have a link for me? Thanks.
@Giles I did..
@Popell No, can’t get it back from the old bike as it needs it.
@Mr K W + T sell rear shocks at shocking prices. I was hoping for someone to know of a leaking Showa shock which is worthless, so I would not have to pay hundreds of £ for it.

Please let me know should you hear of a recent Showa shock being replaced. People throw them out, also spare part dealers unfortunately, so it’s apparently a very difficult item to find. Hence my thinking of trying a bigger country than my own.

Many thanks, Miriam

Miriam, just phone them :thumb They list stuff on the website assuming it's used but very good condition - often they have damaged stuff that they'll sell cheap, maybe even just a knob ......

Stu.

It would be easy enough to turn one down on a lathe from a piece of Aluminium. Maybe ask a small local engineering firm if they could make something for you ??
