Apple I pad case

Looking for a new case for my I pad 12. 2nd generation, all I find is cases fror later generation pads ii.e 4th upwards.
Is there any difference as regard it fitting?. SWMBO offered to buy me a new case since the asking!.

I have a standard iPad 9 2021; bought a case off eBay for £5 - as good as Apple's (IIRC my old one was £50!).

I too have a 9th generation iPad. I bought a cover from Argos for a fraction of the price of an apple one, and yes, you need to check which cover fits which generation iPad. They are not all the same!
