MMMMM, think you would be safer to wait a couple of days,Gerrard.
Just stay indoors with a wee dram o jaeger, since you enjoy it so much!!

and heres me heading for London tomorrow to fetch back a bike......erse!

It's lovely down south at the moment......13 degrees outside right now, clear blue sky, it's been hitting 16 or so for the last couple of days :thumb2

Spent the afternoon in Seaham (NE Co Durham).

At lunch it was a flat sea. Mid afternoon white horses everywhere, sea coming over the harbour wall and sounded like the roof was coming off the office

Coming south down the A19 it was pissin it down, 8 degrees C, and gritter out actually gritting

As opposed to.................................what, joyriding :blast

As opposed to traveling from one place to the other without dropping stuff out the back :thumb

Did the reverse journey a few weeks back... got caught in a blizzard on the A7 south of Hawick... had to slow down to about 60 on the GS :D

It was 7C and sporadic showers at Barnard Castle today.

As we drove back to Kenton, Newcastle it dropped to zero and we had horizontal sleet and really low visibility on the A1.

:eek

EDIT: West coast route might be better?

Thanks for the astute observation.

I thought grit was to prevent roads icing and got washed away by rain.

Happy to learn.

Snow's coming, so they're just getting ready and because they mix it with molasses - perhaps it doesn't wash away so quick:D
