Just got one

Just bought a tour-x motard today after trying a C2 and finding they don't fit me. I think it's the most comfy lid i've worn. With a cee baileys screen and tt extender there is no wind noise, buffeting or trouble with lifesavers at 90.
Just gonna fit the autocom then go for another play
BTBR convinced me they were worth a look and i'm glad i gave one a go :thumb
Cheers Alan

X Tour great helmet from Arai

Always use peak, its a really good sun visor, can just tilt your head down slightly, to block those rays!

Also vision is superb, had a roof before arai, dont have to crane my neck as far around, to see over my shoulder now :bounce1

Absolutely fantastic helmet, really comfy and suits the bike superbly. Frankly I would never put any other brand on my head

Looks a bit.......well sort of........kinda........well quite frankly...... :ymca to me....

A nice knitted "open weave" visor would look quite cool for summer riding...

Ive just bought a Tour X, but have been a bit disappointed with the vibration from the peak. Are there any mods to damp it down (other then taking it off  ) Perhaps I should have gone for the S1 after all :nenau .

I ride an Adventure (The real one) with tobinators and standard screen, I am 6' 4" and find the Tour-X Motard great at 100mph ish, no buffeting.

Without a screen (On the Husaberg or Ducati) up to 90 it is OK but above that I tend to get buffeted quite badly, it also mists up very easily and is noisy, the vents are very effective to the degree I tape them up during winter and if it is *very* cold I wear my old AGV Evo.

The finish also is poor and seems to mark very easily on my Black and Silver version, considering my Evo is a few years old and has no marks on it this is annoying as I tend to look after my helmets.

A great looking helmet that has a few issues.

John - the tour-x is great for misting, especially in the rain. When it's really wet you can't see a thing! Unless you fit a foggy mask or similar which cures the misting completely.

Cheers, have a sportintegral that's the same  Need a new visor for it, debating on spend the £40 on one, or the £250 ish for a Tour x or the BM alternative. :mmmm :mmmm

Noisy

Mate of mine with a Tour X stuck a couple of those soft yellow ear plugs in the holes located inside the top of the helmet. Say's it made all the difference to him ........ might be worth giving it a go.

I've pretty much solved the problem by....

(a) fitting rubber shims between the peak and the shell.

(b) using earplugs with filters in them rather than the foam rubber type.

(c) fitting a Laminar Lip to my 1200.
