just back from 6 days up here, weather very good, nice and dry, good fishing and the scenery is awesome.Took the A861 from the Corran Ferry through Strontian to Salen,Acharacle and then the cottage at Invergegie.did about 200 miles round the peninsula in total including a trip to Mallaig, the scenery on this run was breathtaking and made up for the fact that theres nothing in Mallaig.Next day was a run to Ardnamurchan lighthouse where the views over Rum,Eigg,Coll,Tiree and Skye were unbelievable.this took 50 minutes to cover 25 miles on a single track road but i would recommend it to anyone. Nice run back down today where Glencoe and Glen Orchy were as beautiful as ever. Unfortunately not got any pictures to download but if anyone down South wants somewhere different for a week its well worth the visit to the peninsula where every corner provides different views:)

Thanks for posting that- pictures would have been nice but I can imagine the views out over the islands...

BTW- Malaig isn't that bad- is the sea life centre still open?

And you can buy LOADS of bits for yer trawler...

never found the sea life centre but the fishermans mission when you come in does a good lunch at a very reasonable price

Going up this way in late July and hoping to get some good pictures which I will post up:thumb
