Are ALL forks on LC's like this?

Noticed the oil seals on the tops of my fork tubes last night appear to gave bare springs. Thought this unusual. Are they all the same? Anyone know the reasoning?

Yes mine are like this - why is it unusual?As long as tha 'spring' is seated in its groove then I think all is well.

It's not uncommon, a few USD dirt bikes I've had over the years have the dust seals secured like this

Its actually a dust seal, and perfectly normal - BMW started to use the "new " external spring type dust seals years ago.......
