I'm told demand in the car and bike market has collapsed. I was recently offered £3750 off every BMW car in stock or ordered to spec. I'm looking at a GS1300 for July delivery.

Are there any deals in the GS1300?

I visited Chester Motorrad ( Halliwell Jones) the other day. The guy that delivers bikes for them said they are currently the UK’s biggest seller of BMW bikes. Clearly I dont know if thats true , but before Christmas he said they were selling between 20 to 30 bikes per week.

They certainly have about half a dozen GS1300’s in stock so could be worth a call / chat. Its a brand new model so it’s unlikely the mothership will encourage discounting, but you never know.

If there are already deals on the all new R1300GS it would mean GS guys dont like the too small tank, missing taillight and too quiet exhaust and are not too excited by the radar box up front either....LOL ? Bring on the R1350GS or better R1400GS. worthy of the upgrade from the old stock...! 200 mile range no matter how fast you go and a real taillight and good sounding exhaust are not too much to ask for...LOL

There’s always ’a deal’ somewhere, depending on things like having a part exchange, buying straight out, using finance or a PCP, including any accessories that they can discount on.
Don’t let any dealer say they don’t do deals, the larger multiple branch BMW Motorrad dealers are the best for it.
Their finance managers are skilled at shifting money around on paper to make it appear BMW don’t discount.

I ordered on the 28th of October so I guess the salesman wanted to finish his month off

I was quite happy with the deal I got, it was actually better than I expected on a brand new model which seems to be selling well

Ordered mine in mid Oct, no movement on price for bike and packs, but asked for a run in service and agreed to talk about luggage etc later.
Agreed trade in price, I'd strayed and visited HD who valued my bike £2100 less than BMW
Then found I needed a tracker.
Agreed 11% off luggage and was gifted the tracker.

I could have ordered luggage via dealers ebay but as they needed coding and some units reported as problematical went through dealer.

I was happy with with what I got but assuming comments on the fb groups are correct it's the insurance that will be the killer

IF! No one has said that there are deals.

For everyones sanity please bore off you repetitive, grammar challenged clown.

My advice do not bother keep your 1250 or 1200 and if you purchase one andt clocks impersonate a Christmas trees lights with warnings proceed to main dealer etc
Do seek support from the spotty twerp students at bmw motorrad customer service they are useless time wasters ..my gs1300 as numerous diagnostic problems and engine gearbox issues
The 1300 is a under developed unsupported problematic pile of pooh
Dealer sends you to bmw motorrad for motorrad to do nothing
But direct you back to dealer pathetic

First gen 1200 GS LC had problems as well. Rejected 2 bike, the 2016 1200 & 1250 2019 are the best. Never had problems after that. Looks like the new 1300 is going down the same path.
