Nice dry(ish) blast back from Bahnstormers earlier today and was it my imagination or did the clutch lever travel seem to be increasing? Were my gear changes getting more clunky or was it just my crap riding?

No, definitely something wrong! Limp home trying not to change gear too much to discover empty clutch reservoir & all the fluid peeing out of the slave cylinder (although can't see exactly where from).

Checked the manual to see if I could top it up, bleed it etc but oh no, "special hydraulic fluid" only & "proceed immediately to dealer, do not pass go, etc...."

Anyone else had this problem? I've done a search but can only find slipping clutches :nenau

8000 miles and the slave cylinder's given up already!

I love my bike, I really do, but the number of times it's been in the back of a van back to the dealer already is starting to p**s me right off!

Still, might bring up the corroding engine casings whilst it's in :augie

The 'special' clutch fluid is mineral oil such as LHM, the type used in Citroen hydraulic suspension systems. You can buy it from motor factors. Whatever you do, do NOT try using brake & clutch fluid (Dot 4 etc) as it will wreck the seals in your clutch cylinders.

Hope it gets fixed soon.

My slave cylinder gave up the ghost around 10k too. Wasn't too expensive to fix though

Thanks for the info

Bike going back to dealers (annoying because I bet it's really easy to replace the slave cylinder). Service guys said fluid was silicone-based:nenau

Hopefully back on the road soon though.
