A friend of mine was there, hailstones the size of big marbles, people were putting jackets over bike tanks to stop them being damaged, gale force winds, trees down blocking the road, torrential rain so bad the man hole covers were lifting.
We were 10 miles up the road and had a bit of thunder and light rain.
