Ashdown MX track: Monday 31st May?

Anyone interested?

Need to get an idea of numbers before contacting the track owners.

Good flowing track with steep climbs & descents, normally very firm, I've taken my 400EXC & 950SE around it easily enough as have others on 950/990 Adventures, HP2's & DRZ's.

Cost will be £20 per person, note that as it's not an official practice day, there'll be NO facilities at all. The bushes will do for toilet duty & bring your own food & drink etc.

Would be good to see some GS's & AT's etc.
 
Yes, 2 miles east of Blewbury on the A417 heading towards Streatley direction.

If there's not enough interest, we'll go trial riding instead, there's a local South Oxon / Berkshire loop that we want to do in the reverse direction to normal.

What bike would you be riding?

Provided my back's better by then, i'll be riding my XChallenge....

Change of plan:

Going trailriding instead, will do a loop through South Oxon & Berkshire, start point probably in or near Didcot & finishing Streatley area going via Wantage, the Downs, alongside the M4 & via Chieveley, Beedon, Ridgeway etc.

Start time 0930 Monday 31st May, start point to be confirmed nearer the time but possibly the Shell fuel station on the roundabout near Premier Bikes (junction of Foxhall Road & The Broadway).

Bigger bikes can do 90% of this trail but decent knobblies are a must......

Will try again for Ashdown for the end of August Bank Holiday Monday.

oh bugger...

i'd forgotten i'd signed up to this. I've offered to lead a ride around my home turf as well, so i'm going to have to drop out this time. Hope someone else can fill my place!
 
I'll be posting up details of the meet point tomorrow.

It will probably be close to Oxford as we were shown some legal lanes near the A34 / A420 recently that are worth doing.

Todays ride out

To Steve and Ella a huge thanks for leading the day out.

Left the Harley shop in Wootton this morning at 0930, back home at 5ish.

Covered 124 miles right down to other side of Swindon.

Machin will be putting lots of piccies up here.

I hope the ankle is getting better Ella and your head is OK Dave
