Assembly video from the factory

Good find.:clap I assumed they were all built by robots! I liked the machine that bolted the rear wheel on.:thumb

It's clearly not genuine.

A) They appear to be checking the gearboxes.
B) They appear to be checking the switchgear.

What a great video. Like Nutty I had no idea quite how much of it was done by hand.

Great video, I thought it would end in tears when he drove off the rolling road with the diagnostics still attached. Clever these Germans:D

Great video, great tools,,, however you would have though the tester would shave been wearing a crash helmet, all that Health and Safety bollox now days

We went there on one of Greg's trips in 2005 (or 6? :nenau)

It is impressive, but i most remember standing outside the booth where the test guy runs it up through the gears and tests all the controls.......that's all he does, day in day out, ragging the nuts of brand new bikes on rollers in that little cubicle

Must have "muted" the gear changes when it was on the rolling road..................didnt hear any crunching or was this one of the rare ones without the crunchy gear change ? :augie

PS didnt see any windscreen bits fall off either ;)

I suppose you'd get bored doing the same thing day in, day out for years, but it sounded so peaceful. I bet there's more "banter" normally, but it was probably subdued because they knew they were being filmed.

Not 1 single bloody phone ringing. Must be quite relaxing in a way. :thumb2

Thanks for posting, nice to see it being built by Germans in Germany!

If they only made those red cambox protective covers in gunmetal grey I'd have a pair to back up my engine bars.

It's a shame they don't show at what point they throw the extra nuts and bolts into the gearbox -

Great video!

That HP4 is a lovely looking bike, mate of mine has got one - got to pester him this summer… 'giz a go Mister!!'

:D
