I wish to reply to a post, and have 10 pictures to attach, totalling 1.7MB. Instead of attaching them to my post, and them automatically appearing in the body of the post, how do I create a link on which interested parties can click to see the pictures?
Or, should I just attach them?

Host the pictures on some web space. Then use the "http://" option to link to the files or use the "img" option to display multiple pix in one post.

If that doesn't make any sense to you, read masterdabbers FAQ on posting images.....

ballistic. just one further comment to what Dr Alf has said.
If you do decide to either upload the photos to ukgser or make the img link... you should reduce the size of images.
You say you have 10 photos taking 1.7Mb... therefore averaging 170kb each. The ukgser site limit is 125kb and ideally you would keep each to around 50-70kb in size.

You forgot to stick the image tags around the pic addresses ;)

add [ing] to the front of the address, and [/ing] to the end , but change the 'n' to an 'm' (had to do that or it wouldn't have shown the tags as it would have thought there was a piccy there.

And the pics are too big for the screen- for people to look at them, they'll need to fit on the screen, so make them 600 wide.

PS have a read of Master Dabber's excellent write ip in the FAQ section....it's all there.
