Help please...

I have a couple of pdf files (Dive Logs) that I would like to put on the site for others to download if they want.

File sizes are:426kb and 252kb how do I go about it other than using the attachment link as it says the files are too big....

These are FOC by the way.

Thanks

T

Upload them to your own webspace and then provide the URLS here.....(nearly every internet service provider gives you free webspace)

Or split them into .rar files and upload them in sections :)

Am I missing something. Why change a pdf to rar?

PDF
  • Most preople know what it is.
  • Most computers have a pdf reader installed by default - and one is easy to get if they haven't.
  • PDF files will open in a web browser so only a double click on the link is needed.

RAR
  • Needs to be saved, won't open in a browser.
  • Limited knowledge of what it is.
  • Limited knowledge on what to do with it.

If the file is so big that compression is really needed, why not just use the Windows standard zip compression?

I was going to use a file splitter but can't upload the exe file. Winzip hardly makes a diff to the size of file.
