Hi Folks

An open invite to my annual jaunt over to the Alps, leaving UK Friday 29th May Hull to Rotterdam. Returning Saturday 4th June.

I've got a Two Berth Cabin booked with only me in it, so offering it for the cost of a beer on the boat, and a coffee on the continent, you just need to pay for your own bike.

No need to stick with us, do your own thing if you want :)

This year, numbers are a little lower as the lads are off to Vietnam again and I can't quite stretch to that. In the group this year we have

Me - on an RT
1 x KTM 950SM
1 x S1000RR
4 x Westfields (All good guys, all bikers, but want to take their roller skates this year)

I've got accommodation booked in Saarbrucken for the first night, Lake Konstanz for the second night and 4 nights at the Hochalmspitze in Austria, with a mad overnight blast back to Rotterdam for the return.

Just shout up if you want any more info please, be good to see someone else tagging along.

I'm looking into this at the moment around the same time , but wanting to do a few passes , furka, susten grimstel etc , what's your plans ? ALso have another lad from this parish ( Frautzi) interested , was going myself , but would be good for some company , even if it's only a meet up somewhere :beerjug: Cheers Baz.

Only problem at that time of the year is that a number of the high passes may not be fully open

You are right mate,, but it's just a risk you take I guess, been going late may bank holiday now for the last few years, but there are plenty of great roads to play with and the Grossglockener is usually open, last year it was, and we had glorious sunshine for most of the trip :)

I'll post more info later.

 Good luck with that one :bow

Did it on the RT last year (with a 13 year old as pillion) :) should clarify, overnight stop over, last few years we have gone from Austria to Nuremberg Altstadt area, then next morning on to Rotterdam, and always made it in plenty of time. this is the 14th year and it's not failed yet :)

I regularly work in Nuremberg, and have made Rotterdam in the car with a boot full of computers before check in. But with limited time, it's better to take a bit of pain heading back to make sure the time you have is spent enjoying yourself on the route in and the time in the alps.

Hi I'm up for it just little bit confused about leaving day becase the 29th of May is Sunday not Friday.

Sorry, I mean 27th May, I was having 2 conversations at the time of posting and had 29th May in my head :)
