Greetings,

I have an Active Plus (Kit 200) and I am having a few issues juggling the various external gadgets and getting them to all work together.

I have a Midland G7 (with PTT switch) and a Zumo 550 connected. I also want to use the phone, connected via bluetooth to the Zumo.

I seem to have 2 alternative set-ups I can go for:

1) I can use the phone via the Zumo, but the bike-to-bike is faded out for several seconds every time the Zumo makes any kind of noise making it impossible to communicate via radio.

2) I can switch the inputs so the bike-to-bike takes precedence, but then if someone calls me on the bluetooth phone via Zumo as soon as I speak the Zumo / phone fades for several seconds making it impossible to have a sensible call.

Am I being a doofus and just missing something? I would appreciate a little assistance if possible.

I have considered that the answer is to actually stop trying to be in communication all the time, but when I am on call for work I cannot really go out on the bike without having the phone connected.

Thanks, :thumb

Where are you, Rich? Please give me a hand with this, dude. :tears

Sorry ive been away working at the NEC bike show, if the phone side of the Zumo is being used via your AUX1 socket this will overide the bike to bike due to how the system is designed. The AUX1 socket overides the AUX2 and 4 inputs

The best solution for this is to have a seperate wired input from the Zumo to the Autocom unit. The Navigation Audio and Mp3 if used can be set to interface via the cable yet the phone audio & mic will be sent via bluetooth. To do this, you would need Part 1314 which is an isolated music interface at £28.

It may not be the cheapest option considering you have already bought the BT module however it will give you the ability to listen to your GPS & Mp3 without the bike to bike audio muting. The phone will still mute the bike to bike, GPS & Mp3.

Which is the way mine is set up. Use the Zumo as the gobetween between the autocom dongle and the phone. ie. the autocom dongle connects to the zumo and the phone connects to the zumo.
