Autocom and Shoei XR 1000

Has anyone fitted/tried to fit an autocom headset in a Shoei XR 1000.
I've just got a new one and apart from the cheekpads being on poppers the rest of the liner looks very firmly attached and I don't want to make a pills of it.

If anyone knows of a professional fitter in the north west I don't mind paying for a good job.

I like many others have tried but I dont know of anybody thats got it right, when I spoke to Autocom they said not to bother trying, shame because they are a great lid!

I know someone that fitted them and without problems, although they have small ears, I on the other hand, bought the autocom and then ended up going out and getting an Arai, didn't like the feeling of 6" nails in the side of me head, good luck

fitted a set to the wifes, whilst in a cafe in Andora (long story, but hey @£150 who's moaning). Had a few probs but the best way was to fit speakers inside the top of the cheek pads, a bit of foam removed in the correct places, and i then run the wires underneath the rubber edging on top of cheek pads/ edge of visor and around vent in the front, if you follow, a little fiddley but worth it. Ewe (Welsh you see, is it), end up with two wires on one of the sides of the helmet by your cheek for the other speaker. Worked for me and the same method for my raid 2. Oh yes a bit of gaffer tape to keep all the other wire connections in place under cheek pads.

I managed it with lots of fiddling and self adhesive velcro. If you persevere it is worth it as the XR1000 is a very comfy lid.
