Been having problems with my bluetooth dongle it pairs nicely with my N95 but everytime I make or receive the call it drops the connection to the dongle. Has anyone else had problems with these?
Cheers,
Andy

this won't really help but -

when i had garmin 2820, autocom bt dongle, sony phone (various). the connection would drop in and out - it was rubbish - you would you to "force" the pairing each time....

now i have -
garmin 2820.
autocom bluetooth dongle. (the same one i had with the sony phones)
apple iphone.

all the hardware is mounted in the same place as it was when i had problems, sat nav on bars, BT dongle to right of fuel tank just below and behind the bmw logo on my 1200gs, iphone centre fuel tank below fuel filler.

set up works fine now - always - auto pairing - constant connection.

my point is the only hardware changed has been the phone..........

I don't have the Autocom setup but what I can tell you is that the N95 seems to be the most difficult phone to pair with any Bluetooth device around! I have been trying to pair mine with my 2007 BMW 530 car bluetooth and its impossible, the car and phone recognise each other but will not connect, I have the latest software on both and its hopeless. I have searched endless forums, BMW, Nokia, Audi and the amount of problems with this phone are unbelieveable. If you can pair then it generally wont transfer teh phone book, very odd as my friend has the same phone and connects to my car but not his Saab! If anyone has the answer i'll pay a reward to their chosen charity or beer fund!

May be teaching you to suck eggs but have you made sure the auto answer on the phone is switched off in the handsfree settings?

The autocom dongle has a built in auto-answer, so the one on the phone needs to be switched off otherwise the symptoms you have described occur......

Cheers

JT

Yeah check the auto answer on the phone first but I would put my money on the problem being down the N95 being used as they are a problem phone not only with our dongles but with the Garmin Zumo's and TomTom Rider's all due to the BT software the phones run
