Autocom crackel crackel

my autocom is really pi$$ing me of it continually crackels and the noise on my ears is doing my head in what could it be

I had an intermittent crackle problem when I turned my head left...

Turned out the short lead into the helmet had a broken cable inside which was being pulled apart and making a crackle when twisted slightly.

If you've got a spare lid with extra lead try swapping it over?

New short lead (not exactly cheap!) fixed it.

The short lead flaps about in the wind and breaks its cable inside the sheath. Very tedious.
