I just bought and installed two Autocom systems with Kenwood radios TK-3201 for myself and the missus. When i speak into the mike i get a bleep(and its not from her) from the radio everytime. Also when i plug in a mobile phone i cannot hear the other party. Any body out there with any ideas?????
Would be appreciated

I am no expert but I would think the experts who are on here will want to know exactly what you have got connected to which socket, you might be wise to expand on the technical details.

Sorry can't be more help.

Looks like a problem with the radios, i have tried calling the guys at Auto com but they are all at some show and cannot help until next week. I guess i will just have to wait. Thanks for your comments

its probably the radios....with my motorola there is the option to have a "beep" on releasing the transmit key, which can be a pain...but it is possible on this radio to switch it off....... should be possible on your too?

re phone, have you set phone up to operate hands free, again they have an option menu to alloow use with autocom type set up

FWIW, can you have a look at your setup and tell us what kit is connected where ie which item goes to which socket , and what you have on your 300 eg PTT?
No promises, but at least it might help to pass the week!

The only time the kenwoods will bleep is if the roger tone has been turned on which will let you know the radios have finished transmitting. Or the radios are timing out which is a continous (spelling) bleep or the battery levels are low.

Phone wise what are you using as you have not said :nenau?

Thanks to all for the advise, worked out the bleep problem on the radios was down to a faulty male connector which i was using to plug into the bikes 12volt socket , changed that and it works great. The Nokia telephone was set up wrong and again a little bit of patience goes along way , again thanks to all and have a great weekend.
