Hi All

Just a quickie :hide I am now the proud owner of an AutoCom Pro [acquired from here :clap] and want to fit to the 800gs. I have used the Canbus for the 660 and the manual indicates taking one lead to the battery and another to a switched live. The manual also suggests some connection points are better than others and trial and error will maximise the quality.

Could anyone please provide me with some helpful guidance?

Many thanks.:beerjug:

On my 1200 I took the live feed from the live wire at the back of the accessory socket which is a switched live thus only on when the ignition is on. Negative is direct to the battery

Can't see why this wouldn't work on your 800?? :nenau

How did you make the connection to the live wire on the back of the accessory socket? Did you solder it or use one of those crimp type connectors that breaks the insulation and clamps it all together.

Sorry for the electrical noob question....

Splice in and solder then wrap in electricians tape........sorted!
