I only use my autocom when I'm out with the wife (either as rider to pillion, or for the bike to bike radios). So on my commute to work I just end up with the headset connector dangling off my lid in the breeze. Or in todays case getting soaked in the rain.

Which lead me to wondering if there is a connector cover one can get, as don't really want the rain getting into the connector.. I can't really see anything neat, so maybe it'll just have to be some electrical tape for the time being

Bit bulky, but in the past I have used a rubber ferrule for the end of a walking stick.

According to GSRich, covers were detrimental and made corrosion worse by keeping water in the connector and preventing it from drying. Autocom reckoned they had more problems when covers were used than when the connectors were left open.
