Have been looking at the above lid, and like them very much. Note a lot of very good reports from tossers far and wide.. Has anyone tried to fit the autocom speakers and microphone in one? Theres little point in spending £250 squids on a new lid if i cant get the kit installed, just as well keep the one that i have got now.. Would seem to me as the lead coming out of the helmet is likely to interfere with the whisper skirt thingamejiggy on the bottom.. Might end up as an either or situation, autocom OR whisper thingy, but not both..
Any help or advice would be very welcome ..
Thanks, Joe C..

I have the multitech but my scala bluetooth headset wont fit as where it needs to clamp onto side of helmet for mic to line up at corner of mouth (as scala recomend) the clamp bit is right on the hinge mechanism of the lid.

Don't get me wrong, the shoi multitech is a great helmet and quiet too for a flip lid. It is one of the comfiest lids going.:)

Autocom fella says the Multitec is the EASIEST / BEST one to fit their speakers and mic into.

i have the multitech and autocom..no problems noted. i had the lid fitted up at Autocoms HQ, it took them about 20 mins for 2 helmets( the other being a Caberg justi')

Im fitting shed load of Multitecs at the mo and so far had no problems at all, take around 10mins to fit on a good day :)

As GSrich said, dead easy, if i can do it, cut outs are already built into the lid
so no hot soldering irons needed:augie only bit of bover i have is the boom mic
pops one of the side check studs out now and a gain. OH! and getting the
connection cable out of the lid is a bitch too if you have the weather band thingy in place. BUT...:thumb2:thumb2

ongoing..

Have had another look at the lid. See the speaker holes, ,and in theory see the mic coming out the cheek pads on the left . BUT strugging to see how to run the lead from inside to the outside, especially with this draft skirt thingamjig thing there.. Can it be run between the shell and the liner, or does it need to come from the inside of the draft thing, effectively running between the riders neck and the draft thing ?? At first sight it looks like you can either have the autocom or the skirt but not both.. Pics might be worth a million words,lolol..

Reassured to hear that its at least possible, thanks guys..

Working on the dealer at moment , doesnt want to go below £270, but i havent done with him yet ,lol.. A Shoei rep in the store at the weekend hinted at £250 so thats where im looking to end up..

Heavy duty velcro, stops the cheek pad flying off.

If you are meaning the main wiring loom this can also be fitted under the cheek pad, the wiring for the right speaker is ran around the back of the helmet with or without the neck collar being fitted.

Thanks for your help so far ..

So far so good . Got the price i was after - at last,lol.. It should be here in deeeeeepest Dorset on tuesday (he says) lol..

Rich , I'm thinking of how and where the lead comes out from the inside of the lid. All of my past lids have had it coming out between the outer shell and the linings, and then attached outside ,below or at the level of the left lug hole by way of a plastic clip kinda thing supplied by Autocom.

Sulk, sulk...i did not get this plastic clip with my setup, just stick a cable tie to the side of my lid and hook the cable through it.

The loom is attached to the inner shell of the helmet underneath the cheek pad so the din plug will come around under the neck collar. I would say there should be enough free cable so you could run a P clip onto the side of your lid.
