Just bought a 2010 RT. Where's the recommended place to mount my Autocom box ?

Cheers

Under the riders seat, across the frame; tie wrapped in place. I confess i got Sam at Chainspeed to do it for me.

Having seen your location, & assuming your Bloxham is the "Banbury one", you're welcome to meet up some time & see my bike, with Sam's fitting.

Mine is located under the drivers seat adjacent to the RH frame rail.

Under the pillion seat, next to the standard toolkit, using sticky-backed Velcro; it stays drier and cleaner there.

My "touring" set-up, has a small can of WD40 where the standard toolkit used to live, and a better toolkit, puncture kit, tape and bulbs, stashed with perfect tessellation, in to the tail unit :thumb

Last question

Final question as my Autocom is safely mounted under the seat.

Where have you guys secured the cables for pulling into the helmets ?
I'm thinking of using the self-adhesive P-clips & mounting on rear rack & tank bag rack ??

I store them coiled under the seat(s) & just pull them out when required, at the nose of the riders seat & the left of the pillion.

On my 2006 RT I have a StarCom I used a female plug kit and mounted the drivers plug into the blank radio control panel, looks good.
