Have just installed a Autocom 7 sport...no problems with the intercom between rider and passanger, but also ended up with 2 leads to connect either mobile phone or/and stereo device..I have a Sony walkman radio casette to try it out.

Any ideas on how to mount these on the bike so you can control them or is it a stick them in your pocket job any views Stewart

Music

I use my nokia phone which has a radio/MP3 player on it. It gives a reasonable sound and when set to autoanswer cuts out when the phone rings so you can take the call without pressing any buttons, it then cuts back to the radio when the other caller puts the phone down. I put it in a BMW tankbag in the map pocket.

All the latest technology Stewart?

Try industrial strength Velcro and mount it on the tank. The Velcro is available from Lewis's haberdashery department. (Don't use ordinary Velcro)

Upgrade the cassette to MP3

I use an iPod mini which is either in my jacket or in the tankag. Sound plays through the earphones in my helmet via the Autocom.

I bought an AirClick Remote Control & Receiver Module from the USA (e-Bay for about £20 all in) which is perfect for pausing/stopping/starting the music and adjusting volume control. Got the control attached to my RAM mount - works a treat.

I used to mount my Creative Labs Zen Touch Mp3 player in my tankbag. I ended up with hard drive failure and had to have it replaced. I now put it in my jacket pocket and it has been fine since.

With any Mp3 style player that has a hard drive, avoid mounting it anywhere on the bike if you want it to last.

On the other hand, my Ipod has done about 7.5k on the bike with no problems :thumb Mines in the tankbag but I try and not put it on the bottom wheres it would be in semi contact with the vibrating bits.
