They are two very different systems,

Auto Vox
Auto Volume
Music fader
Seperate master rider and pillon volume controls
VOX LED
power LED
More aux sockets
12 v only for the power
Slimmer

Also on your other post if you are looking at a Super Pro or Pro-7 be safe and run a Kenwood TK3201 or TK3101 which can also be powered via either system. Any foriegn radios will either be on completly different channels to what we use over here, or the the tone settings will be different. If you need more than 1 mile between the bikes why are you actually riding together??

Thanks Rich. Do you mean the Super Pro AVI has all these features and the Pro 7 sport doesn't?

Thanks for the tip on the radios,

Kenwood TK3201

Just looked up the spec on the Kenwood. Is it VOX only or is there a PTT? Is it battery only or can it be powered/charged from the bike?

What about the Intaride A80 that Silverfish mentioned? Any thoughts - it seems to have ptt (which I'd like, and so would mrs msgs1200 as apparently she swears at me lot as we're riding along and doesn't want me to hear) and bike powered seems sensible for longer trips and camping?

thanks,

I have a Kenwood with a Pro-7. I use the optional Autocom PTT kit which is switchable between VOX and PTT.

My Kenwood is bike powered, but could be battery if I so preferred.

I've had a a pro 7 and now have a pro AVI and found it a deffinite improvement. Not bothered about the extra imputs but the vox system activates quicker, and the background noise sensor and music faders are really usefull. At the end of the day though they are both great systems:thumb2

Hi Greg - did you need extra parts to make the Kenwood bike powered, and if so do you have the part numbers for this and the PTT option?

thanks,

Martin

I don't know what the part numbers were but they were stock Autocom parts. I'm sure if you called Autocom, they could supply you with what you need.

Greg

To bike power the Kenwood TK3201 via the Super Pro you will need a part 1402 £27, for a PTT a part 1457 £38 will get you sorted
