Anyone got a picture or a really good explanation of how and which wire I connect my autocom to...I am rubbish at these things!! Thanks guys and galls

If it's a Logic then connect it straight to the battery (with a fused feed of course)

Logics only power up when the headset is connected so they don't drain the battery when unattended. :thumb

what model/year is your bike and model of autocom,I`ve had mine wired up the same way on an 06 gsa from new with no problems but to explain will take a while if its similar.

Thanks for the info, it is an autocom spa logical, I didn't realise they only work when one or both headsets are connected...just bought it and awaiting its arrival.
my bike is an 07gs
Cheers

Although I have bought the Bluetooth dongle for Bt connectivity if that makes any difference?

Fella it'll either be an SPA (Super pro automatic) OR a Logic, it can't be both!

My super pro automatic sits in the tool tray.... Positive is piggy backed onto the live feed to the accessory socket under the tool tray ( wire bared and soldered on.... Negative to -ve terminal on the battery. The accesory socket powers down when ign off , after a short time so won't cause your battery to run down

Just to steer anyone away from doing this, any battery operated Autocom system will indeed only turn on when the headset is plugged in, when the unit is bike powered it uses a different power circuit so this is no longer true. Always ensure the power supply is from a switched feed / or directly powered from the battery using a switched relay in the case of LC BMW's which now leave power constant to the accessory outlets.
