aux lighting bars

Just wondering in what way would a light bar, attached to the frame cause more of a problem in a spill than a set of engine bars fixed to the frame in much the same way?

A little empirical crash test data to support the notion that most crashes would not cause damage to the front beak frame if you have a light bar attached.

3 of 4 turn signals were broken on this ride, the right valve cover protection plastic guard was broken, the right valve cover was fractured and the spark plug gasket was damaged.

I experienced no damage to the 6 inch wide HID lights, light bar, beak frame or oil cooler. This is consistent with other well-travelled GS riders who have crashed their bikes with a light bar installed and experienced no damage to the beak frame or oil cooler. This doesn't mean this is true for all crash scenarios, but it does suggest from empirical experience that this concern is over stated.

Side and rear shot of my GS the next day. I was sore from picking my GS up 4 times.

I could have used TKC80's and a riding partner...
